The Royal Australian Navy’s (RAN) future HMAS Choules (L100) is due to call at Cape Town tomorrow. The former British landing ship dock, RFA Largs Bay, is on her way to Australia where she will be commissioned next month. The RAN bought the ship from the Royal Fleet Auxiliary earlier this year for £65 million.

Quer isto dizer em tabernáculo ( vernaculo da taberna), que a Australia comprou um navio de guerra à Inglaterra por 65 milhões de piatras Ukeizianas, e, tanto quanto se saiba, nem a Inglaterra está em polvorosa com a venda do L 100, a contar comissões, tão pouco a Austrália anda acabrunhada pela compra. Estórdinario, não?
É um navio que atraca de popa, mas no bom sentido. Também foi coisa que não me virou.
E não esqueçamos que em Inglaterra, os navios são tratados como meninas....
